Privacy Policy

Self-hosted by default. MemDB is open-source software (Apache-2.0) that runs on infrastructure you control. When you self-host MemDB, no data — conversations, vectors, embeddings, queries, telemetry — is sent to MemDB Inc. or any third party.

1. Hosted API (api.memdb.ai)

If you opt in to the hosted API, we process the data you submit (memories, search queries, user identifiers) solely to operate the service. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with advertisers. We do not train models on your data.

2. Data we collect on memdb.ai

• Aggregated, anonymous analytics via Plausible (no cookies, no cross-site tracking, EU-hosted).
• Email address if you join the waitlist or contact us — used only to reply.
• Standard server logs (IP, user agent) for security/abuse prevention, retained 30 days.

3. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You can request access, correction, or deletion of any personal data we hold on you by emailing privacy@memdb.ai. We respond within 30 days.

4. Cookies

memdb.ai uses no tracking cookies. The analytics provider (Plausible) is cookieless.

5. Changes

Material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance.
