1. Open-source software

The MemDB software is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. Use, modification, and redistribution of the source code are governed by that license. Self-hosted use does not require any agreement with MemDB Inc.

2. memdb.ai website

You agree to use this website lawfully and not to attempt to disrupt it (DoS, scraping at abusive rates, exploiting vulnerabilities). The site and content are provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind.

3. Hosted API (api.memdb.ai)

The hosted API is offered as a managed service under a separate commercial agreement. Beta access is provided on a best-effort basis with no SLA. Do not store regulated data (PHI, payment data) without a signed BAA / DPA.

4. Acceptable use

• No illegal content, no CSAM, no incitement to violence.
• No reverse-engineering rate-limiting or abuse-prevention systems.
• No use to develop competing memory-layer products from our hosted infrastructure (self-hosted is fine — that is the point).

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MemDB Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the software or the website.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which MemDB Inc. is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
